Roman, 1636 (639, 1641). with the text: "Ruit Hora, H. Grotius Synd. Roterod. eiusdemq. urb. in. conv. Ord. Holl. et. Westfr. quondam delegat". With a poem in latin by D. Heinsius. Aet. 53 Ao 1636. in ink written on bottom of print: Ao 1620. Muller 2016. Van Beresteyn 12. The given age is based on fantasy: the original portrait was made in 1631. But obviously the publisher wanted an up-to-date portrait of Grotius.
